The organizations behind the NuCypher and Keep tokens have contemplated merging their Ethereum-based projects since March 2021. In June 2021, the two organizations announced plans to merge their cryptocurrencies into a new token they called KEANU.
The KEANU name is gone, but not the merger. The two Ethereum-based tokens are being replaced by a new token called Threshold Network.
All Kriptomat holders of NU and KEEP tokens are receiving Threshold Network tokens automatically according to market rates.
This is the first time two distinct cryptocurrencies have merged into a single token.
