Making everyday purchases with crypto is about to get a lot easier.
Singapore’s Alchemy Pay has announced that it will issue virtual Visa and Mastercard cards that are linked to cryptocurrency accounts instead of bank accounts.
Alchemy says the virtual cards will support more than 40 cryptocurrencies and will be accepted by millions of Visa and Mastercard merchants in more than 200 countries and territories.
According to Alchemy, development is complete on its virtual crypto Mastercard and Visa services. The system is being beta tested in key markets and will be rolled out in late 2021 or early 2022.
Alchemy Pay intends to make its virtual card solution available to businesses as part of a suite of white-label services.
