TALLINN, ESTONIA – FintechX OÜ’s Kriptomat platform has earned a spot on the Virtual Currency Business Register maintained by the Director of Poland’s Tax Administration Chamber.
This development means that Kriptomat is officially registered in Poland as a virtual assets service provider.
“This achievement is further demonstration of our commitment to regulatory compliance in Europe and around the world,” said Kriptomat Group Chief Operating and Integrity Officer Dejan Davidovic.
As a registered provider of virtual assets, Kriptomat is subject to EU regulations and Polish law regarding know-your-customer (KYC) procedures and anti-money-laundering (AML) capabilities.
In particular, VASP registration in Poland confirms that FintechX’s internal compliance processes fully meet the requirements of Polish AML regulations, including an effective internal setup for money laundering and terrorist financing prevention, detailed user identification and verification, and regular reporting to financial authorities.
Staff training, which is another of the key requirements of VASP registration, has also received attention, with special emphasis on lessons learned and knowledge sharing as leading principles under the umbrella principle of integrity.
VASP status in Poland joins comprehensive registration, licensure, and regulatory compliance to the greatest extent possible considering regulatory options and business needs.
In addition, Kriptomat has earned ISO certification for establishing, maintaining, and refining systems in quality management, information security management, regulatory compliance, and anti-bribery management.
