We keep learning about innovative uses of non-fungible tokens. Businesses have found myriad creative applications for these unique assets: as rewards in customer loyalty programs, as collectibles, as achievement badges, as proof of shared ownership in masterworks of art, and more.
Here’s some of the NFT news that crossed our desk this week:
Chiliz Signs Three New Teams
Three teams have been added to the roster at Socios, the online NFT fan site operated by Chiliz. The three special covers are programmed to customize themselves if they are purchased by users at certain addresses on the Ethereum blockchain.

Automaker Porsche has auctioned off an NFT that comes with a physical concept sketch drawn by the company’s director of exterior design, Peter Varga. Varga says the sketch embodies Porsche’s spirit, combining features of the company’s contemporary Taycan Cross Turismo with the classic Porsche 911 body. Porsche is donating proceeds from the auction to Viva con Agua, a non-profit charity dedicated to increasing access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene around the world.
