What is Alien Worlds?
Alien Worlds is a play-to-earn game in which players compete for scarce resources in a multiple-planet metaverse. The blockchain-based game relies upon an internal economy based on a cryptocurrency known as Trilium (TLM).
Accumulating TLM tokens allows players to take part in decentralized autonomous organizations, or DAOs, that are set up for each planet within the Alien Worlds game. Players can stake tokens to individual DAOs and earn daily rewards. Staking gives them a voice in setting policy for individual planets. Token holders can even run for office to participate in leadership for one or more planets.
Alien Worlds players are known as “explorers” within the game. They earn rewards through in-game achievements, by staking TLM, or by participating in planetary DAOs. Mining TLM is an important way of earning rewards.
This in-game mining mirrors the consensus mechanism used by Bitcoin and Ethereum, but it is not true mining. Each world in the Alien Worlds metaverse has its own mining game.
You can also buy land on an Alien Worlds planet as an investment. Explorers who wish to mine TLM on your land pay you a commission for the privilege – a nice bit of passive income.
TLM is technically the governance token of the Alien Worlds project. Within the game, players accumulate unique items in the Alien Worlds NFT economy.
Alien Worlds runs on the three blockchains on which TLM has been deployed: Binance Smart Chain, Ethereum, and WAX.
It’s free to play, but gameplay is limited without the Alien Worlds crypto, Trilium.

How to Buy Trilium (TLM) Tokens Now
1. Purchase BNB at Kriptomat
Kriptomat is the fastest, easiest way to start your Alien Worlds journey. It’s easy to buy Binance Smart Chain (BNB) tokens. Simply create your free Kriptomat account, complete the quick account verification procedure, and make the purchase. Visa and Mastercard support means you can complete this process in minutes.
2. Set up a MetaMask wallet
MetaMask is a crypto wallet that is implemented as a browser extension on PCs and an app on mobile devices. Visit metamask.io and select “Download” and you will receive the proper version for the device you are using. Follow the instructions to complete installation. Create a wallet and password.
3. Connect your MetaMask wallet to the Binance Smart Chain
Under Settings, select Networks > Add Network. Add these details for the Binance Smart Chain manually:
- Mainnet
- Network Name: Smart Chain
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
- ChainID: 56
- Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Save the new network.
If all went well, you will notice two things: The network has automatically been set to the Binance Smart Chain and the currency units in your wallet are no longer ETH, but BNB.
4. Transfer BNB from Kriptomat to your MetaMask wallet
Use the Account Details menu on MetaMask to display the numeric code that is your MetaMask BNB wallet address.
At Kriptomat, locate My Wallets and click on Binance Smart Chain (BNB). Click on Send and paste the wallet address from MetaMask into the “Recipient address” blank. Specify the amount of BNB you wish to send and confirm the transaction. You may need to confirm the transfer via email.
5. Swap BNB for TLM at PancakeSwap
Navigate to PancakeSwap, press Connect, and select MetaMask.
Start by swapping some of your BNB for Wrapped BNB, or WBNB. There’s no transaction fee for this swap, but don’t swap your total BNB balance – you’ll need a little BNB to pay the transaction fee in the next step.
Now you can swap WBNB for TLM. This is why we advised you to save some BNB – to pay the transaction fee.
6. Add the TLM to your MetaMask wallet
The Alien Worlds tokens are yours at this point, but they may not be visible in your MetaMask wallet until you add them manually. Visit coinmarketcap.com and locate the token contract address for TLM, then open MetaMask, select “Add token,” and paste in the address.
7. Play Alien Worlds
Now that you have TLM tokens, you can get full access to all the features of Alien Worlds.
Good luck, brave explorer!
