Bennetts and Hope previously spent six years collaborating on various software projects before developing the Status network and its accompanying crypto, SNT.

Status is the first decentralized client of its kind and is hosted on the Ethereum network. SNT users can access the decentralized operating system on top of Ethereum and send and receive encrypted messages. They can also access cryptocurrency wallets, smart contracts and decentralized applications (Dapps) hosted on the Ethereum network. Status’ operating system provides access to the network at any time from anywhere as a light client node on Ethereum.
